Gather these tools for the job: a pentalobe screwdriver, a small suction cup, a metal pry tool, a plastic non-marring pry tool, and a phillips head screwdriver. Before you begin, as with most other repairs, make sure you have turned your phone off completely. Additionally, keep your screws, brackets and other pieces organized so you don’t mix them up when it comes time to reassemble your iPhone 6s Plus. Here is a link to a free PDF chart showing screws in the iPhone 6s to use for repairs, it will help; the only differences between the iPhone 6s and the iPhone 6s Plus, in terms of this chart are one more screw on the screen ribbon plate, and no screw at the bottom of the metal plate by the home button for the  iPhone 6s Plus.

Begin by taking  the pentalobe screwdriver and remove two screws from the bottom of the iPhone 6s Plus. Next, stick your suction cup onto the glass screen and carefully pull up on that as you use the metal pry tool to separate the screen from the phone and the plastic pry tool to lift the screen from the phone, but not more than 90 degrees from the phone. The video clears this up if that is confusing. Then, use the phillips head remove five screws from the metal plate closest to the screen and unsnap four  ribbon cables from the motherboard using the plastic pry tool. This will disconnect the screen from the phone body. Set the body off to the side to work on the screen.

At the top of the screen, unscrew three screws to remove a metal plate, the front facing camera, the earpiece, the front sensors, and the front microphone. Near the button unscrew two screws holding down the home button, unsnap the connector and remove the home button. Be gentle and careful with the home button because replacing it could cause Apple to brick your phone. Next, unscrew three screws along each side, one at the top, and release the black pressure sensor from the phone. Buy a replacement screen that already has the 3-D touch as part of the replacement part because separating that slice of the screen and putting it on a new one is a more advanced and risky repair. Your replacement part should be the glass screen, the LCD, and with the 3-D touch component on top.

Start putting the phone back together with the metal black pressure sensor going onto the new iPhone 6s Plus screen unit and screwing it on at the sides and top. Next, reinsert the home button connect it to the screen, and screw it in. Some screens already have the top components,  the front facing camera, the earpiece, the front sensors, and the front microphone, already installed, but if yours does not place that unit back into the screen being careful to line the microphone up with its pin at the top. When you put in your earpiece ensure that the niblet is tucked into the correct spot. Each gold spring will line up with the gold circles in this area. The area will seem messy with all of these components, but when they are all lined up replace the metal plate covering them and screw it in. Now, bring the screen unit back to the body of your iPhone 6s Plus and reconnect the 4 ribbon cables of the screen to the motherboard using the plastic pry tool. Turn on the phone to make sure it works; lines are grey areas on the iPhone 6s Plus screen indicate that connections were not firmly plugged in, so turn off the phone and try again, if the screen looks normal everything is good. Turn the phone off once more and put the metal covers and screws back into the phone. Finally, line the screen up starting at the top, press it into place along the edges, and return the pentalobe screws to the bottom of your iPhone 6s Plus.
